Dr. Malla is a licensed clinical psychologist, sex therapist, author, speaker, and mental health advocate. She offers individual, couples', and family therapy sessions and specializes in complex and intersectional identity work for multiracial or bicultural individuals. Her practice is LGBTQIA+, poly, and kink-affirming, and her work is trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming as well. Clinically, Dr. Malla works from a psychodynamic frame and incorporates cognitive and behavioral work to provide collaborative solutions that work for her clients and within their unique cultural and familial systems. In her personal life, Dr. Malla enjoys film of all kinds (popcorn flicks, foreign, indie), ceramics, speakeasy-hunting, board games, and travel.

Dr. Harpreet Malla is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in LGBTQIA++ affirmative care, gender identity exploration, and anti-oppressive therapy for those with intersectional identities. Her clinical practice serves LA and Orange counties in-person, and she practices virtually across the state of California as well. She has spoken or held workshops at the city, state, and international level, and has been published in both academic and pop publications. She promotes understanding through education, and provides radical healing spaces for queer individuals, trans folks, people of color, and marginalized communities navigating identity, relationships, and trauma recovery, or who are simply seeking a fuller expression of their whole self in their day-to-day lives. Her practice centers social justice and celebrates the uniqueness of each individual and their mental health journey.
Specialized therapeutic care for: minority and queer individuals, and “nontraditional” couples (e.g., intercultural relationships, arranged marriages, poly/ENM constellations, kinky, +/or queer folx), as well as entertainment industry/creatives and those who fall under the neurodivergent umbrella.
Educational presentations, workshops, and media appearances on inclusive mental health considerations in the modern age as well as on couples, sex, intimacy, and relationships. South Asian culture, expansive identity, gender & creativity and expression are also frequent topics.
Corporate and community workshops to promote understanding through education, resources, and tangible take-home tools that empower communities addressing mental well-being and clinical mental health concerns. Past topics have included intergenerational healing, how to feel your feelings, and a trauma-informed womxn's workshop on reclaiming pleasure, among others.
Training and consultation services for individual clinicians or larger organizations seeking to create more inclusive and affirming environments and practices, particularly for emerging special populations in our community.
